I was contacted by one of the Howard TV producers today and they are preparing a Howard Stern 911 special. They are still planning but part of the show will be a retrospective and I'm honored to say that I've been asked to be involved. Beside myself, I've suggested Joey Boots, Zolar, & Cabbie. They were not only in the city but they all called in to Howard. It would be great to hear from KC but I don't know if he'd be able to come into town. I'll have to give him a call.

I know alot of you have been asking for this footage. Has it ever aired? I've never seen it if it was. it will really be a powerful show.

it would be great to hear the crew and all of you reflect on that day in a retrospective piece. mary ann from brooklyn's calls to howard were paticularly heartwrenching when i listened to the show awhile ago and i would like to see her included in this if she is open to it.

in addition i would really like to see a show seperate from the retrospective with only the footage from that day. the whole show from the pam discussion to howards sign off.

Very cool. No, none of that footage was ever aired on E!

No Show footage from 9/11 was ever aired on E! I ASSume that's what this special will be including...as opposed to non-Show footage. I have been eagerly awaiting video of the Show from that day. THANK YOU ON DEMAND!!!

It's been a long time since I listened. was she one of the calls that day?

I don’t think she called that morning, but in the days following because she had a relative missing that worked in the towers. :(

That would be something to see, it would bring you back right to the minutes everything happened,

I think you're right. Maryanne's sister-in-law, I believe, was "missing." She sounded awful. It was very sad.

i dont know if she was on the actual 9/11 show but the call i was thinking of was on the next day (9/12), where she called in about her sister in law who had worked on the 105th floor of one of the towers and was missing. im not sure but i believe she said later on the air that she had perished in the attacks.

brilliant move. I've listened to the 9/11 show a few times and have always wished I could see their faces and body language. I was going to cancel HTV (I love it, but am getting laid off soon, going into severe budget mode), but I'll have to keep it for this.

think it will be up by 9/11/06?

It would be awesome to be able to see this episode, I always hoped they were going to show it on E. I'm anxious to see everyones reactions after they're notified.

i hope they play as much footage as they can

i would love to see the whole show from 6am till howard went off the air that day but i'm sure that they will not do that

hey mutt, another good idea would to see the next day sep 12th, the first couple of hours as howard and robin talk about what happened the day before

I much rather watch the 9/11 show on Howard TV than to squash Howard's Live broadcast. With the new terror threats, the 9/11 show might actually make people turn off the station. The video will be a lot better even though the 9/11 audio show was great (although I only have the West Coast feed)

God I wish they would get Howard TV here in AZ!!!!

I'll have to find it on the internest I guess, but I really want to see the 9-11 show.

I can't wait to hear/see it! Unfortunatly I was in a non-Howard market at the time!

I'm really looking folward to hearing the 9-11 show again.
I tuned into the show a few minutes before 9 am and heard howard talk about the first plane crashing into the WTC. The next few hours I was riveted to the radio listening to the show and knowing the rest of the day would be surreal. I can still remember cabbie calling in to the show and Discibing what he could see from his roof looking tword lower manhatten..... Howard was debating wheather he should stay on the Air.. but he just went into broadcast mode...all news. ..... real serious shit.
I stayed tunned into late in the morning on sept 11 2001. you know... anyone who listening to howard that morning will always associate howard with the news coverage of sept 11.

I really hope to see it on Howard TV. I've been listening to it every year at least once a year for a couple of years now. It does help me maintain the memory alive. I still get angry when i think of 9/11 and I do not want to stop feeling angry about what happened.
