    This is not another "WHAAAAH! I WANT MY SIRIUS POST" it is a strange occurance which has me rethinking their business tatics.

    I ordered my Stern Deal Receiver on 11/22/04 with overnight delivery hoping to get it for the Holiday Travels. I call back on 11/23 and 11/24 to get details and nothing. On 11/26 I call up saying I think I am going to cancel my order since no one knows what is going on with it and the lady tells me they are back ordered for 2-weeks and refunds the overnight delivery. So I give it a couple weeks and I call in this morning 12/06 with a simple query and I got the same response I did 11/23 & 11/24.

    I know some of you got your receivers and the rest of us are on back order, but can they not just give us an estimate instead of saying a day or two when they know it is back ordered for a couple weeks?

    Now I have to bother the sirius people on Wednesday for more information since he said it should go out in a day or two. If he said next week, I would have gave them the whole week.

    I don't like the "Tell the customer what they want to hear" method. I just want to know "WTF IS REALLY GOING ON".

    Their customer service is not very good. I have had sirius for about a year now and they have always been less than perfect. Right now, I have been waiting like a month for a credit of $60 bucks, not even a peep out of them yet. It probably doesn't help that it's Christmas and Stern's announcement of his move.

    I'm still waiting on my device and when I called today, they said the same thing they said Monday (it will be shipped out within a day or two).

    and I said, that is what you told me on November 23rd, so what is going on.

    Again, it should be going out any day now. I will keep you guys updated.

    last year, when my initial unit died within the first month, i was able to return and replace at best buy.

    while waiting at return line at BB, i called the number on the side of the box.

    i explained i wanted to exchange my old device on my current account with the new one. i opened the box and got the ESN.

    person on other end got me processed in under 5 minutes.

    i got out to my car. attached the unit to the antenna and powered up.

    within a couple minutes, i was up and running...

    so no complaints from me... ;)

    BEFORE CHRISTMAS! STILL ON BACK ORDER!

    She said On or Before 12/24.
