movie stars?? they work 3 months on a movie and make 10 mill - it is the path you choose and how successful you are. I sure as hell would take every friday off I were him!

What Howard says and what Sirius says are 2 different things. It is a long known fact that when Howard made the announcement, many parents, who subscibe to Sirius, voiced their opinions against it. And it was quite a large portion of their subscriber base. the parents don't want their children to be able to scroll through the channels and find an uncensored Stern. Since this happened, Sirius has strongly been considering making Stern its first premium channel. The cost would most likely only be 99 cents, just so that it would only be accessible if you paid for it. Just something to consider.....

I am. But I was a kid when the Bears blew and the Packers were winning everything. And remember, in the early 60s you didn't get home games on TV. So each year I'd watch the Bears lose six games, the Lions lose one game and the Packers win five games then go the NFL championships. No brainer to have the Pack as my team.

That's not to say I haven't picked my share of losers. Stuck with the Packers in the 70s and 80s (ugh!) plus I'm a White Sox and Blackhawks fan. That's a piss load of losing over the last 40+ years.

stern with 10 weeks of vacation..thats 2 and a half months...you are paying for a 12 mo subscription, and if these rumors come to pass that the show will be a "premium" station, well, im sure folks wont be too happy..me included. say what you will, thats entirely too much vacation...fridays off too...bullshit....fucking stick a goddamn microphone and transmitter next to his bed so he doesnt even have to leave his cave...lol

ANswer: Internet Message Boards. Stop hypothesizing and complaining about things NO ONE has any idea about. Why not complain about how Howard is going to have WWE wrestlers on every Monday from 8-9am and how he's turning the show over to Crazy Cabbie on Thursdays from 7am-9:30am?

There is no way it is going to be premium. Look what happened when XM tried to offer premium stations.

I think the 4 days a week thing is a mistake on Sirius' part. They are counting on Stern to bring over subscribers and the 4 day week + commercials + the fact that hes been phoning the show in since his Sirius announcement may spell trouble for selling radios.

They should have worked that into the deal after a year or two and made him go 5 days initially.

It all depends on what else Howard is programming and what takes Howard's spot on Firdays. If it is half decent, more power to him. If it is shit then there will be some annoyance at having to go to music on Fridays but mind you if the reggae and blues channels are good, I can handle that. if the additional shows that Howard produces are half decent then we all win with the extra programming. I would love to hear Mark Harris and Richard Simmons contractually locked into a radio sudio for 15 minutes per week with zero control over content and get their heads bashed in by the callers, who knows what else will be on.

We will found out in 8 months. I hope this is just rumors.
