Sirius-XM Customer Service - INCOMPETENT

I spent almost 2 hours on the phone with 8 DIFFERENT REPS to cancel my Sirius Radio.
You still can't combine XM and Sirius radios on a single account.
So much for the customer benefits of a merger.

XM used to have excellent customer service but it appears they fired all of them and now Sirius-XM only uses the incompetent retards from Sirius.
I bought an XM Snap radio to replace my Sirius crap and it's the ONLY Radio you CAN'T activate online! WTF!?
You have to call and deal with retards that make Gary the Retard and Wendy the Retard look like Mensa candidates.
It only took the female retard I spoke with 35 minutes to setup a new account and activate the radio.
To get Howard you have to buy an XM Everything sub with The Best of Sirius.
$234.62 with taxes, activation and Music Royalty fee and WITHOUT Internet Listening!

Howard, would it be too much to put in some FUCKING EFFORT when loyal listeners have to deal with BULLSHIT like this?!

Mutt, how about relaying some REAL customer concerns to the A-HOLES in Management at Sirius-XM?

If Sirius thinks they will actually survive long-term against a service like Pandora they are smoking crack!.
They can't possibly believe the service is worth all the hassle.

Down almost 8% in the past 2 days.

On what planet could you possibly be to think that anyone here gives a rat's ass about your problems?

    We don't.

    And neither does Howard.

There's a whole forum for Sirius/XM stuff and you have to post it here?

    BRILLIANT!
  9. JeepinJeff Full Member

It would probably be easier just to cancel it from your credit card and block the charge.
  10. gambitlebo Full Member

You paid how much for a year with no internet? 234.62? Wow!

I haven't paid more then $70 in two years with radio and internet and last year was $60.

My account comes due soon and if they try to charge me more than $60 then they will have one less customer.

...would you please cut it out?! we gotta keep a few dumb ones.

Howard only has a couple channels on Sirius, you didn't complain if your terrestrial radio broke did you?

 Never had a terrestrial radio break, did you?

Sirius doesn't make any new hardware so they have you over a barrel.
I had 2 Sirius radios with Internet for $150.00 for the year but both radios, true to form, shit the bed.

It made no sense to keep any Sirius subs when

    1) It is impossible to get new hardware.
ALL existing Sirius units are OUT OF PRODUCTION.
Anything you buy will break and you will not be able to get it replaced.
The only way you get new hardware is with a new vehicle.

    2) You don't get ANY discount when purchasing XM hardware.

I'm a Howard fan but the way they treat the customer is BULLSHIT.
Howard should be ashamed of himself.
I have my sub for one reason, The Howard Stern Channels.
All the rest of what Sirius-XM offers has no value for me.

And for all the cum stains who don't like this thread in this forum, too damned bad.
At least in this forum, people actually read shit.

You have to call and cancel or they will renew your sub and send you an invoice in the mail. If you ignore the invoice they'll send it collections and if you have any other active subs they'll turn them off including any lifetime subs you have.

Why do you say you can't buy new Sirius radios?

ALL units shown for sale are OUT OF PRODUCTION.
They are selling the remaining stock.

When they break, and they will, YOU ARE FUCKED!

Sirius XM (SIRI) Ends Production Of All Sirius Dock And Play Radios
    http://satelliteradioplayground.com...roduction-of-all-sirius-dock-and-play-radios/

This is old news but cleverly hidden from the existing customer base.

Pay attention to the area where David Frear states that they will either sell the Sirius infrastructure or use it for NEW services.
All new vehicles are equipped with XM hardware that is compatible with Best of Sirius.
The Sirius Radio stream is going away completely.

:jj: Well it's a year later and Sirius is still selling new production Sirius radios including the recently released Sirius Starmate 8. Looks like your boy David Frear was talking out his ass AGAIN just like he was talking out his ass when he discussed Howard's contract negotiations.

I had my own recent experience with SiriusXM "customer service". I have been a subscriber since late 2005 and I have a very old radio, the kind that requires an antenna on the roof of the car, a cigarette lighter plug in for power, and a iPad plug in to the radio. The radio has been falling apart for a long time now, but I have been holding it together, hoping it would still get a signal until my new car was delivered, a car with build-in SiriusXM service.
Well, just over a week ago, I picked up the new car, and it has XM radio service. My contract is with Sirius, and I have an old Sirius radio. No problem, I told myself, it is one company now, I will just have my recently-renewed Sirius contract transferred to the XM radio in my new car. When I called "customer service" I was told that it was not possible to transfer my Sirius service into an XM radio. I reminded the rep that the merger was years ago at this point, the radio in my car was brand new, there has to be a way to do this. They just said no, it can't be done.
    Any suggestions?

i just transferred my sirius sub to XM, so it can definitely be done. but, you're right . . . it totally varies from call-to-call which kinda person you're going to get. i spent over an hour on the phone sat with "listener care", and i'm set now.

i had a sirius sportster, and the display was taking a dump. i went with the xmp3i, and i've been REALLY happy with it so far.

but, there is DEFINITELY a difference between Sirius and XM -- sorry, howard stern, they are NOT the same company!! i don't get why they have completely separate listening packages for each -- doesn't sound like one company to me!

the only real issue i had was all the promises the guy i FIRST talked gave me -- didn't follow through with one of 'em. not much i could do though, cause there was nothing in writing . . . just what he told me.

but, again, i DID transfer my remaining sirius credit and created an all new account. oh, and when you do this, might want to keep an eye on the online account stuff. after my THIRD new account, it was finally correct. the first 2 had other radios and people associated with them . . . nice!

UPDATE: Back in February, I found a customer service person who was competent enough to terminate my Sirius account, transfer the remaining balance onto a new XM account, then upgrade my free trial to the package that includes Howard 100 and 101.
I have been listening to Howard in the new car ever since. UNTIL WEDNESDAY. That day, two days ago, I was listening to Howard when the signal went out. When it came back H100 & H101 were gone!. When I called in yesterday, the service rep told me that Howard was definitely in my package, and that he would send a signal to the car to fix the problem. Nothing happened. Today, I used chat, and THAT rep told me that I wasn't able to get a signal because I owed $56. possibly for the FREE TRIAL. When I told her I was getting a signal, just not Howard, the story became that Howard was NOT part of my package. So at present, the half-year of contract that I had left on my Sirius account has evaporated, and now I owe them 50 bucks for the FREE TRIAL which suddenly ended well before the 3 month period. I owe the extra money for the package that includes Howard, which as of two days ago, isn't in my package.
    Isn't that great?

SiriusXM calls me monthly to get me to resubscribe.... issue is, and i tell them every time, i'm still a customer and pay bi-yearly. I canceled my old sirius car radio only. They're retards.
  25. pod98 Full Member

i started getting calls from a collection agency for sirius xm. i called them yesterday, and they were trying to get me to pay $50-something for cancelling my service. back in february, i replaced my sirius radio with an XM one. didn't cancel my service, just transferred it to a new radio. when i did all this, they told me there would be NO fees for doing this. after a bunch of voice-raising, they finally waived the fee . . . gee, thanks for that.

the service itself i really like, the company is just freaking horrible.
