Agreed. I keep thinking about getting a dog and if I do, it will be a mutt from the local pound. My ex insisted on a purebred retriever a long time ago and she (the dog) got the hip displasia. My ex actually suggested amputation to save money but I took the dog down to Miss. State U. after we separated and I spent a few thousand on surgery. She has been going strong ever since.

I did not want to explain to the kids how they had a three legged dog on account of mom was cheap.

Beagles are good loyal dogs but you have to keep him fenced in or they will take off following a scent for miles.

I'd like to take that dog for a walk and pick up his droppings in a plastic bag that I put on my hand like a glove.

I have a doxie mix and I don't see the doxie nose on your puppy. He's really cute whatever he is. By the way, some of those kits that are suppose to determine the breed of the dog aren't very specific. You might want to save your money.
