Did you ever listen to Howard circa 1990-1994? He was mostly East Coast exclusive and talked about the NYC scene. I imagine the listeners in Los Angeles didn't give a shit.

Sirius can "hang onto Bubba" in any fashion that the two sides agree upon.

But once Howard is done, I don't see Bubba coming to Sirius to do an exclusive morning show = the financial landscape has changed and Sirius neither treated him well enough nor has enough capital to afford him.

so afternoon would be what time? noon, one, two?

yeah we talked before about pitching a Show together to Tim.....just need a good concept.....covering THE SHOW is no good cuz between the WUS and the SFRT it gets enough of picking it apart........we were thinking a politics show or a military show being we were both in maybe.....but then again not enough might not relate to a military show.

I tried like a motherfucker to get through the lines, but I have a feeling the army has them blown the fuck up. Kudos to Pedro for his rant, he was spot fucking on.

Here's what I had to say in response........

1) It aint all about the money. Sirius has an excuse every fucking year.

2) Martha fucking Stewart, Martha Jr, Mad Dog, and all these other douches got money to "bring in new customers". No one is signing up for that shit. Sirius after all of this time, still doesn't know their demographic. My mom isn't buying sirius if martha, oprah, and the virgin mary had daily sing-a-longs. How about CUSTOMER RETENTION? The fucking information is out there, LOOK for it.

3) Sirius has continually shit on the show, and this is the biggest shitting yet. Their delivery of contracting they couldn't tell us what the deal was is deceptive, and mislead everyone. Lots bought sirius shit for christmas, which is what they had in mind when they pulled this shit. The worst part? Not a -bit- of this is bubbas fault, but the way sirius played it, it is ALL on his chin. The heat he is taking is damn near immeasurable. Chickenshit!!!! We're ALL fucking mad, and most peoples anger has been misplaced by design of sirius.

4) Howards "fired" comments are disrespectful, and bubba is taking heat for this shit too. My 43 cents a day aint worth a shit, howard is right....Sirius has proven time and time again they couldn't care less about current customer retention, or satisfaction.

5) I do think the deal is working out, and it is getting better every day. I will definitely continue to support the brn, it's just a shame I am forced to support sirius cocksuckers in the process.

6) (edit) I also wanted to add that I am happy for the guys standing their ground with sirius and doing what's best for them.

There's interesting info for them to look into, if they were smart enough. Here's an interesting comparison of Bubba vs. two of S-XM's cash cows.

Excellent post SJJ. Sirius is setting a dangerous precedent by putting censored terrestrial show on their airwaves. The most troublesome thing is how they're spinning it and talking about it like it's great. What does that say to new customers? If they do it for this, they'll do it for something else.
