    i live approx 30kl East of Windsor,

    but i visited TO this week & rail or subway in one district is a hot topic.


    how are the hills in ottawa? must be nice for downhill skateboarding.

    Toronto council voted against the mayor's plan to build a subway and instead want to build a light transit system. The mayor is arguing that will do nothing but create massive havoc with traffic where the subway would decrease traffic...
    It's going to be a huge fight.

    In this case I believe they are talking about streetcars...Long term, a subway makes far more sense.

    We have the same issue here in Porkland, OR. The light rail to alleviate traffic congestion does nothing but hinder the flow of traffic because it runs across major roads that are already congested. And they just keep wanting to expand this bullshit thing here.
