Good one fuck face. You must be one of the losers who spends his days bashing a guys show on his fan site. Why don't you do what your mothers been begging of you for the past 30 years and get off the computer and out of the basement for some fresh air.

I think it looks funny as hell and I"ll be seeing it on opening night...

That being said, I think it's going to be a box office bomb.
The studio is making a mistake releasing an R rated offbeat comedy like this in June. It would have made more sense to release this in early August after all the family / animated and comic book movies have run their course.
TED will surely get lost in the shuffle here.

I saw a trailer a couple weeks ago at The Avengers before Wahlberg came in. Thought to myself then that there was no way in fucking hell I would see that. Nothing changed after his interview.

I didn't even read this, but why don't you just do everyone a favor and kill yourself?

    I saw it yesterday afternoon.

Is it funny? Yes, but some of the best scenes are in the trailers, so if you've seen them, you're going to feel let down somewhat. There are other laugh out loud scenes, but there's also a subplot about a creep and his son who want to have Ted for their own that really derails the flow of the entire movie. It was totally pointless, except to set up the ending, which I won't give away. The movie is a bit more sweet and heartwarming than I expected, and Mila Kunis is excellent. Overall, I'd give it a grade of B, and hope for an unrated/ extended version for the blu-ray release.

"As promised by the strong box office at their midnight screenings, both of this weekend's new releases have a lot to brag about-- and neither will have trouble knocking out last weekend's box office champion Brave. Ted looks to be cruising to #1, with $20.5 million on Friday that will lead to a projected $51 million for the weekend, according to Deadline. That would put it well ahead of American Pie 2 to claim the record for the biggest-opening original comedy of all time, and right next to recent R-rated opening champ Prometheus, which also debuted to $51 million".

America has spoken. Goes to show where America's head is at.

Wow. The opening numbers are big and it even has gotten good reviews from critics I respect. Also, it has a 69% on Rotten Tomatometer.

I was probably wrong. Now I gotta see it.

This site is trapped in a bizarro world where up is down and down is up. Here TED is going to be a failure- even though Family guy is well known to everyone under 40- and McFarlane pretty much owns Fox's sunday nights.

This site also says Stern is going to give AGT the biggest ratings ever- even though the show is mediocre- and at its best it is still beat by RERUNS of 2 broke girls. That is not impressive.

    SFN is fascinatingly delusional..

Ted, the comedy with Mark Wahlberg, took in $54.1 million, according to studio estimates from box-office trackers Hollywood.com. The debut eclipsed most projections, which had hovered around $23 million.
But critics and fans were solidly behind the Seth MacFarlane-directed movie about a teddy bear brought to foul-mouthed life. About 68% of critics gave it a thumbs-up, and 88% of moviegoers liked it — an indicator of good word-of-mouth — according to the survey site Rottentomatoes.com.
