I've seen many of her friends who are into their early 20's. Nuff said 'bout that.

How is your kid's eye?

My brother in law, when his daughters were in college, got to be the "cool dad."

He told me later, "I should have installed an in-ground pool."

He went back to school today. First afterschool program of the year today. Have to leave in 5 minutes to get him. He was relieved to be back "on schedule."

The eye drops were the hard part. Thank goodness that's over.

About the pool, I had a bad enough time going to swim meets sometimes.

My father moved out when the kids across the street were 12 and 9.

About 8, 9 years later, he was visiting and we ran into the girl - now 17 - in a bikini on her way to the local swim club.

I almost cringed when he tried to re-introduce himself. She had no idea who he was.
