Daniel and Henrik Sedin want identical 12-year, $63 million contracts, according to a Swedish report.

The twins are unrestricted free agents, free to sign with any team come July 1. The issue, partly, is that the twins want to remain together, meaning whomever signs them will have to shell out $126 million if they get their wish. This may be simply too much money for the Canucks to afford. While both Sedins finished with 82 points this season, that hasn't translated into post-season success for the Canucks throughout the entire tenure with the club. This should get interesting.

The NHL sucks when it comes to events like this...Shaka Khan opening the show? What a joke. I can't believe how bad this is. This is worse than the opening to the season when Def Leppard put the Cup upside down.

I did not realize it was on TV. I just turned it on and Ovechkin wins the Pearson.

That is weird to have Chaka Khan. I never been into these awards shows. They are kind of stupid. Just give the awards out. I like the way MLB does it and gives out an award a day for a week. They milk it.

This is like watching a car accident. I want to turn away but I just can't stop watching. The NHL comes off as lame and nerdy when they try to do events like this.

I know Konstantinov is partially brain dead but they pushed him on the stage and he was shaky as hell. Then he was watching the video screen and when the video ended he kept staring at it. Larionov had to snap him out of it and tell him to read the card. He then mumbled something that resembled a name...Larionov then said Ovechkin won. Was it neccessary for Konstontinov to be there?

Kirk Muller also can't read and the model he came out with must do magazines only because I never heard of her.

I can't stop watching this mess.

I miss the days when Ron Maclean would come out and do a horribly unfunny monologue because this is 10 times worse.

The NHL has a lot of Europeans so when they present it's hard to understand them. The one North American they get out there from the NHL is Kirk Muller. The guy can't read. This is amazing.

At least the people don't try to be funny. When I watched award shows in the past and it is so scripted and they try to be funny it is real bad. I never really ever watched these shows.

I take it this show started at 7:30 and will probably end around 8:30?

I am surprised Sullivan won the Masterson? I thought Zednik had to win it based on what happened to him last year.


The good news is this show won't last long!!!!

Just announce the winners and get out of Vegas.

I'm pretty sure only hockey fans(not many of them) are watching this mess. I hope nobody is showbiz gets wind of how lame this is because I don't need to listen to Howard, Letterman, Conan or anyone else goofing on the NHL. This is a comedians dream.

It really is bad because a lot of these guys all say, uh uh uh, uhm uhm. These guys will never make it in politics.

I give some of these guys credit because English is not their first language. To learn a second language is not easy. Ask me, I tried learning Korean.

I suppose that is the only good reason that hockey is not popular because this show would be a field day to bash. Not as bad as the Magic Johnson Show.

Datsyuk won the Lady Byng, so he has two awards.

The Konstantinov thing was sad but I did laugh a little when the video ended and he was still staring at a blank screen, for a long time. I hope that doesn't make me an asshole.

Bossy was at an Islander game I went to this year and I thought it was Mike Bossy's grandfather.
