I always laugh when people say they got owned with words. Usually that person that says that is just a kid. All we have are opinions and I would not consider an opinion that gets the better of someone. Therefore, most bickering is really nonsense. The person you are talking about knows he is an imbecile. He has been doing that for a long time and that is a fact.

I pretty much stay away from the so called VIP's. I have nothing to gain in chatting with them.

I would love to hear from all fans here. Kind of wish there were some Preds, Panthers, Coyotes, and some other fans that never show up here. Maybe if one of those teams went far we might see them or not.

I respect most of the Flyers fans here and they seem like good guys for the most part. I really never liked that team because they always seem to goon it up and that is their history. Not too many goon teams win the cup anymore, so they have to learn from that.

Oh well the Bruins are the 2nd seed. The Rangers will get that one seed, but not tonight.

Once you get out of the city limits of Montreal, the entire province of Quebec is predominantly French speaking. Quebec City is really french.

Cherry did a piece on Matt Hendricks. He seems to be turning into an effective player.

All the matchups are set with the exception of the Rangers draw. I'm hoping for the Caps but in reality no one is a pushover in the playoffs. Not sure how much impact Backstrom will have with the short ramp up. No way I'd wanna face Miller and the Sabres.

The only thing to be decided in 4-5 is the home ice. That will be a great series if yesterday is any judge of that.

You Pens fans, (if honest), have to admit you are still getting the calls so you'll have the PP advantage. Seems that Crosby is wearing a cloak of invisibility and the ref's can't somehow see what he does during game play.
In 2 separate sequences when the game was still in contention he slashes the stick out of the D's hands and the other when he was backchecking a foward and slashed him so hard his stick snaps in two and somehow no one sees either play...go figure.

I imagine you'll see less of the goon crew during the post season (Sestito, Rinaldo, and Ashim).

Bruins - Ottawa. The B's have owned them but if Spezza plays like he has and Anderson is on that could be a real series.

Devils - Florida. On paper I like the Devils if Brodeur is Brodeur but Florida has played well of late.

Yeah, too bad they won't have the shootout during the playoffs.

Be quiet with your picks. We will get to them on Sunday. The west is wide open. The Canucks are playing very well and have a great shot at getting the 1 seed. The rest of the west can shift on one given night.

The Pens will have the PP advantage if they work harder than the Flyers. The Pens did a lot of stupid things yesterday and that took them out of their game. I am not thrilled with their defense either. I did miss most of that game yesterday, but did see the end. I didn't think Vitale's hit on Briere was that dirty. Due to the juncture in that game he probably didn't have to do that. The way these teams hate each other I would not be surprised to see goons playing in this series. These teams hate each other with a capital H.

7:00 PM If Capitals want to have a shot at the divison a win is needed.


Edmonton at Los Angeles 10:30 PM Kings can help position themselves for the 3 seed with a win.

Kind of surprised Cherry would say something nice about Hendricks because he is American. Usually only good guys according to Cherry can be from Canada.

I am taking a road trip to Pittsburgh, PA to see the Pens new arena against the NY Rangers on Thursday night. I will take pictures. Also, I will get to see the Pirates newer ballpark against the Phillies on Saturday night. I am pumped.

I am not sure I am going to be online on Sunday to post the contest rules for our pick em, so please repost these rules and the matchups. I will write down everyones picks and keep score once I get back Sunday night.

Buffalo Sabres defenceman Christian Ehrhoff is expected to miss the final week of the season, while blue-liner Tyler Myers has a chance to return.
Coach Lindy Ruff provided the update on his injured players after practice Monday.
Ehrhoff has missed two games since hurting his left knee against Washington last week. Ruff said Ehrhoff's injury doesn't require surgery, and added he could return if the Sabres make the post-season.
Myers did not practice Monday, and has missed one game since taking a shot off his foot in a loss to Pittsburgh on Friday.
The Sabres (38-31-10) have three games left, starting with their home finale against Toronto on Tuesday. Buffalo entered the day ninth in the Eastern Conference, two points behind Washington. The Capitals hold the tiebreaker.

That pic of the Flyers huddled around the Cup is so odd looking. It's like seeing a pic of the Eagles with the Lombardi Trophy or a pic of ALC with a woman.

There is still a decent chance the Caps win the division and get the 3 seed and the Panthers drop to 8th, which would suck for NJ and be good for the Rangers. Although I think the Rangers would beat both teams rather easy.

Devils have one of the better top 9's in the league. The 4th line with Josefson, Carter, and Bernier has been good lately too. But with no real #1 the defense isn't great so, like you said, it'll be up to Brodeur if the Devils want to win anything. I wouldn't mind that at all if it was 1997 but the guy is almost 40 now.

I think the Bruins-Sens series could be a good one too...I saw Spezza didn't play yesterday but I see he wasn't injured, he left to be with his wife because she is about to have a baby. There's 3 games left and the Sens are fighting for their lives and Spezza is with his wife...Fuck that, he has to play that game and fly to be with his wife after the game...athletes are so soft nowadays.
