Canada, America, Slovaks, and The Swiss are gone. Who will take the gold?

I will say The Czech Republic.
  2. Nickd Full Member

Its fucking amazing how poorly Canada played. They just didn't show up ... at all. 3 shutouts with that talent shouldn't happen in a hundred games let alone 6 or whatever they played ...

I say Sutter for coach next time, Quinn isn't getting it done anymore. Look what Sutter did with the Juniors

    LETS GO RANGERS !!!!!!!

    ISLANDERS SUCK !!!!!!!!!!

The US and Canada will learn that with a grueling quick series, you need young players not the old timers. The medal rounds should be exciting as there are some good match ups!!

    Finland Vs Sweden, who wins?

    I say Finland by 2!
  6. WhatRUSaying Full Member

The Russians lose to the Czechs!!!! Now the Gold Medal Begins!!
  7. WhatRUSaying Full Member

The Swedes win!!! The Olympics are over. Now it is time for The NHL to take center stage. Game On!!!!!!!!!!

Lundqvist fucking rocks. Thank god he is the rangers goalie.
  9. WhatRUSaying Full Member

He did play well and is one of the reasons The Rangers are playing well. There is plenty of season of left, so we shall see who can get hot towards the stretch run.

Ottawa Senators look very strong heading into the second half of the season, led by the Spezza, Heatley, Alfredsson line.

The down point may be the health of Dominic Hasek. He'll be fine by the playoffs, but Ottawa is leading the NHL with 3.95 gpg to counter any goaltending problems.

Rangers have a tough road ahead of them: Ottawa and Carolina are full of talent. And what happened to Jagr this year?! He is back to his old self.
  14. WhatRUSaying Full Member

Edmonton losing at home to The Blues was quite the shock; could this open the door to some other teams like The Sharks and Ducks?
  15. JC Tommy T Full Member

As a NYR fan I'm extremely glad that he's back to his old self, but it's shame that the reason that he's playing so well is that he's "happy" with his coach and teammates. When he's not so happy with his surroundings he tends to dog it a bit and not "show up" every night.

I've come to expect that from MLB and NBA players but get pissed when I see that from an NHL'er. Enough ranting...Let's hope he stays on top of his game and that the groin isn't an issue the rest of the way. Let's Go Rangers!

The thing about the Oilers, they don't have a proven No. 1 goaltender - platooning Markkanen and Morrison.

They improved their blueline adding Spacek and Tarnstrom to Pronger, Bergeron and Staios, but the teams behind them (Sharks/Ducks) have a No. 1 (Nabokov/Giguere).

One goalie on the market, Roloson, won't go in conference, but CuJo or Biron may end up in Edmonton for the stretch.

The concern with The Ducks is they have been so inconsistent. They have had so many chances to get the 8 seed, but seem to lose when they get so close. I still think they shouldn't have gotten rid of Sykora and Fedorov.

go wings they easily have the best chance to win it all they are always a dominate team and the chemistry on the team this year is really going well
  20. Limo~Sir Full Member

im a red wings fan as well, but this team is not going anywhere in the playoffs--Calgary and Nashville will both beat them is a best of seven series

    Trade Talks

With Kings centre Sean Avery on the trading block: I would find it funny if he was dealt to the Habs (even though Montreal isn't in talks).

"I think it was typical of most French guys in our league with a visor on, running around and playing tough and not back anything up." - Avery to TSN earlier this season
  22. Limo~Sir Full Member

there is not a chance he is going to montreal--the french press will eat him alive

My Islanders are dead men walking. At least I can enjoy seeing the 1980 team at the game tonight before the Flyers pound the crap out of them...LOL
  24. WhatRUSaying Full Member

Trade deadline coming in a few days. I wonder if there will be any big blockbusters?
  25. Limo~Sir Full Member

there wont be any real blockbusters with salary cap---calgary has quite a bit of room to pick up a scorer though
