if I had some negative shit to say, i'd of said it. I honestly thought the 60 minutes piece was great. i feel the others legitimately felt the same way. what didn't you like about it?

I second your opinion...I didn't like that they didn't do enough in his old neighborhood...other than that it was great...

    I just got home myself,
First Off I want to thank Shuli for the invite, I will never forget what I just experienced.
To be honest I felt out of place at first, not being a show regular like the rest of the panel, im just a diehard fan, but everyone and I mean everyone was so cool, and welcomed me into the gang, I even got to hang out with Shuli, Joey, and High Pitch Erik after the show and we went to a bar to chill and kicked back a few drinks.

I got to meet people I thought I would never get to see face to face,
The complete panel, was myself, Shuli, Joey Boots, Dan the song parody man, Mutt, Billy Mira, Maryann from Brooklyn, High Pitch Erik, Hook Nose Mike and Rev Bob Levy, they were all very very cool, I was able to talk to everyone and bullshit with them before and after the show. I am truly Honored that I was included in tonight's segment. It was very very surreal, and something I will never forget.
I was also able to get a quick peek at Howard's new Studio, and I have to say it is completely state of the art, high ceilings and plasma screens throughout, and Robins new booth is like twice the size of the current one,

I didnt want to come off as a kiss ass or anything, But I truly felt that the 60 minutes piece was great, we all got to see a glimpse of Howard's youth, when we were all in the studio watching the piece, I took a look around the room and saw how captivated the rest of the panel was by the photos of Howard's old house in Roosevelt,
I know some people may feel that we were all there to kiss Howards ass, but I can assure you that we all basically felt the same way, and were very pleased with the 60 minutes segment.

Thanks again to everyone, It was truly a highlight of my life.

i agree with most of this, the piece was definitely skewed with an upturned nose. it becomes clear why ed bradley didn't let howard cry...i don't think he wanted howard to become too sympathetic...the treatment was clinical, both detached and invasive at once.

Howard came off great to me as a fan, but i think for the non-fan he came off as a curiosity...all traces of his actual brilliance were minimized.

I thought the interview sort of Humanized a guy that has been demonized so much over the last few years. Considering 60 minutes audience, that is certainly a good thing.

Just goes to show you cant please evryone. The segment was way too short. Other than that it was very cool, thats how most of us felt, maybe it doesnt make for the best radio, but honestly its what we felt.... So there was the honesty. Maybe we should have lied and said we thought it sucked.... Hooknose you were a cool dude! Nice meeting you man.... [IMG]
