i think its relevant that the forensics support zimmerman's account of the events.

They must have evidence of murder 2, if not zimmerman will go right to trial, why would he plea if the state has nothing?
  3. dogcow Full Member

thats actually not the critical fact in the case, because zimmerman does not dispute that he shot martin.
  4. dogcow Full Member

because otherwise he is riding on the hope that 12 people will decide he believed his life was in danger from an unarmed black 17 yr old. its a coin flip, he is facing some really hard time, vs a plea where he may get a few years.

Since Feb 26. The swelling and bruising, particularly around the eyes would take a while to go away and would discolor the skin. But the breakage takes about 2 months or more to fully heal. His nose looks very straight, with no twists or bumps.

If the state doesn't have a case, his lawyer will take it right to trial. They have something, hell from what we know they already have a case.

But if he does plea out and gets 5 to 10, that will probably placate everyone...

Zimmerman's eyes are very close together, that isn't a good sign either. I wouldn't want a jury staring at that guy all day, day after day... Looks guilty just standing there.

if you were in his shoes do you believe you could get a fair trial? remember you are facing something like 30yrs behind bars if you lose. was he within his rights? i doubt anyone really knows and that is exactly the problem.

Thats for his lawyer to call, if he knows the state doesn't have the evidence to convict, go right to trial and fuck them.
  9. dogcow Full Member

yeah on the other hand the lawyer gets to go home regardless of the verdict :jj:

Geez, now that you mention it. :jj2:

My new cat looks like him, her eyes are very close together, I'm convinced she has some kind of feline mental deficiency. She is always running away like she stole something but is smart enough to open a cabinet door with her paw and hide in it.

Always get the best lawyer you can afford.

just to clarify i dont think they are pulling the charge out of their ass , she has to have evidence that she reasonably believes warrants a charge of murder 2 and not a lesser charge, however that doesnt mean thy have to have a case they think they can win. also i think this has to go to some kind of hearing before a judge where they decide whether it can even go to trial based on whatever evidence exists that zimmerman did not act in self defense. not 100% sure on that tho.

I am not sure that stalking an unarmed, law abiding person and confronting him with a deadly weapon is within a person's legal rights.

More months of this story. :bored:

But the media is all: :cash:

The news is no different than any other entertainment. They see situations like this no different than AMC sees the walking dead. Package it and sell it to the waiting demographic. Then the stars of the story, once when it's all over, go on to other shows for big bucks.
