So two wrongs make a right. How liberal of you. Typical.

    You're too stupid for words.

Zimmerman and multiple eye witnesses state that Martin laid him out with one punch and then slammed his head repeatedly into the concrete; Zimmerman's injuries corroborated those actions.

And people like to make a big deal over the fact that the neighborhood watch guy was "watching" a suspicious character in a neighborhood that had recently suffered a handful of break-ins. So he did just that. He watched him. And guess what? Turns out he was watching a kid with 3 school suspensions for theft, marijuana possession, and truancy. A kid that was caught with burglary tools and stolen jewelry at school. Sounds to me like he was doing his job.

    Am I for real? Absolutely.

    No.
Zimmerman followed the suggestion of the operator and was returning to his car. The youth charged him, bashed him in the face and sent him to the ground.

Give Trayvon a chance, give Travyon a chance.

Ok Trayvon, I'm gonna ax you a ketchin...

Slightly more honest? Excuse me, but when did I claim it was anything else? And how is that "not true?" According to you, the police told him "we don't need you to do that," what exactly, would you call that if not a suggestion?

And no, following someone isn't a crime, but let me ask you a question, if Mr. Zimmerman had done what the officer suggested and not followed him, do you honestly think any of this would have happened? You poke the dog, don't complain to me you got bit. Zimmerman called the police, I have mo problem with that but he should have let them handle the situation. Period.

If this incident wasn't so tragic, I'd say it sounds like a scence from The Office with Dwight in the Zimmerman role.

Soon to be released info regarding the angle of the shot
will prove the the kid was indeed on top of the shooter
    when the gunfire occurred.

An officer DIDN'T tell him not to follow Martin. A 911 operator told him not to follow him. A 911 operator is not a law enforcement officer and disregarding their instructions (for whatever the reason) is not a crime.

Zimmerman is a neighborhood watch person. He was WATCHING.

White Florida racists being white Florida racists being defended by apologetic white racists. Nothing to see here.

It all comes down to who started the physical fight. Not who followed who, not who has the longer police record. If Zimmerman was the one who got physical with martin than Zimmerman should be throw in jail for manslaughter. but if it turns out that martin was the one who started throwing punches(I don't care what the reason) than as far as I am concerned Zimmerman had every right to defend himself. its not against the law to follow someone, and if martin thought he was in danger he should have called the police, not physically confronted Zimmerman which is the way it appears to have happened.

    Ah, my mistake.

But I never said it was a crime. I said had he done as advised this entire incident would almost absoultely not have happened. There is a reason law enforcement personnel aren't simply given a badge and a gun and told, "Have at 'em." Zimmerman should have listened to the operator. He gave a description, location and his number for the police to contact him. He had no business following or confronting Martin.
  17. Dralix Full Member

It doesn't really come down to who threw the punch, imo. Did Martin have a reasonable belief that he was in danger? If so, and he struck first, that may have been justified or at the very least mitigated. The same is true of Zimmerman. If Martin did strike first, and Zimmerman thought he was in danger, then his actions could be justified or at least mitigated. From his perspective, he was not the aggressor, even if Martin thought he was.

What made him look like a felon up to no good? I know that Zimmerman said he looked suspicious, but I haven't heard any details about those suspicions.

Yeah, cause as we all know, that all burglars and thieves carry cups of iced tea and skittles in their hands.
  19. ThatSonOfABitch Full Member

It is beside the point that he was caught with those items in the past. At the time that Zimmerman shot and killed him, the kid was just walking back from the store. He didn't have any stolen items or burglary tools on him when he was chased down by Zimmerman. He was wrongly profiled by a stupid vigilante prick and he lost his life trying to fight off a wrongful citizen's arrest. And please answer this question. If you were walking down the street and some fat maniac tried to "arrest" you, would you fight back or would you let him choke you and forcefully restrain you? Serious question, I'd like to know.

Being black. A situation like this CCW racist's wet dream.

If Trayvon was white this would be a story about a wannabe cop, neighborhood watch jerk off going too far and committing murder. No one would be defending Zimmerman, except bitter old men who hate all teenagers. The teen's criminal past would not even have come into play as he wasn't committing a crime at the time and for the fact that he was a fuckin' teenager when he committed his past offenses (None of which warranted execution by firearm as punishment). Who hasn't stolen something as a teen or done something equally as dishonest? And truancy, holy shit I never did that! Also, I'm in possession of marijuana right now, someone better shoot me before I do something even worse.
  22. lycosucks Full Member

He wouldn't have shot a white kid. Why would he think a white kid is prone to violence and stealing?

Congrats. You haven't gotten any of the story right. You should, however, be happy that the strings the media has you attached to work very well.
