Bought a ticket last night for the Manchester, NH show on 3/13. Can't fucking wait, always wanted to see them with Dave in the band.

Dave's 58 years old, we shouldn't expect the same Dave from 25 years ago. Hopefully he's doing the right things to condition his voice so maybe it improves as the tour progresses.

I'm just happy he's back where he belongs. He and Eddie need each other

They're all in it for the money...to say they're not is ridiculous. Did you read Red at all? Sure it's Sammy's side of the story but when Alex is broke and touring to pay bills, I don't think Eddie's that far behind, especially since he probably paid an ass load out to Valerie from the divorce.

And the new album sucks. It's not hard, it's just a mash up bullshit of riffs from older albums with Dave lounge singing over them. I've listened through it twice thinking that I gave it a bad initial reaction and to be honest, 2 of the later tracks started out well with the riffs and then he opens his fucking mouth and it goes down hill fast.

I'd put VH3 with Cherone over this one and they made us sit around and wait 28 years for this 'album'...

What about Julian?

Sammy is a disgruntled former employee for starters. Alex never wrote anything so of course he needs a tour to make income.

Some of the tunes on the new album are reworks but there is alot of kickass new material on there...Daves singing has always killed me but his lyrics are amusing.

I don't know what VH record you're listening to. "A Different Kind Of Truth" is excellent. I don't care if they used old demos. Eddie's happy because he's remarried, he appears to be sober, and his son is playing bass in his band. He hasn't been inspired to play guitar like this since the "1984" album.

They're going to make money, sure, but at least they delivered a record worthy of fans going out to see them on tour for.
