    Howard meant he was extra honest because getting up onto a stack of bibles before swearing is tricky enough, never mind putting your live children on top of the stack too, it requires great balance and is quite risky.

    Artie did not want Howard to fall, so pleaded with him to not get into that.

    He knew Howard was bsing him for the sake of good radio. When Howard swore on his kids, instead of Artie calling Howard out for swearing on his kids even though he was still lying, Artie said he didn't want to get into it.

    Howard is someone who is so past the point of reality that he blatantly lies about shit, but in his head he beleives it. There's also a part of his brain that knows he's BSing, but he always ignores is.

    I think Howard could tell a blatant lie, know deep down he's lying and at the same time, take a lie detector test, and pass. He's that far gone.

    probably that even as fucked in the head as Artie was, he knew that you never fuck with a guys kids. Its just off limits under any circumstances.

    Depends on what bible Howard was referring in his statement the Old or new testament. BTW, I heard howard talking about ST.Louis a few weeks ago and he didn't know the meaning of the arch (Gateway to the West). This tells me that while his daughter spent time in college in St. Louis Howard never visited her. now that's sad.

    So, Artie is right just because you work with someone that doesn't make you their Bro......

    Howard did go visit his daughter in St Louis. I remember him talking about at least one trip there.
    One trip to see his daughter at college doesn't make him father of the year, but he made the effort at least once.

    Howard missed a great opportunity to recall a bad Artie joke.
    He should have said he took some crystal meth and walked to St Louis.
