What ever happened to the eventual "Roast of Howard Stern"?

They were doing a great series of Roasts there and the idea was at the end of them we would get a big "Roast of Howard Stern" to cap them off. What happened?

closest thing to that would be the divorce roast. it was obvious that there were a lot of ground rules set in place.



jackie once bombed roasting howard mid 90's. sal has a pretty rough roast on beth.

jackie has one good joke on howard. i think it is in this video, don't have the time to check.
it went something like this " howard stern, get rid of his looks, body, charm and charisma and what do you got..... howard stern".

like everything else promise 3 channel of live uncensored radio with real hired talent, is now more of repeat radio from 30 years ago than live radio now

Once Sal did the Beth horse-face joke, there was zero chance of a Howard roast ever happening.

I agree, it's never going to happen. The Artie Roast was probably the single greatest thing I've ever heard on the radio. Colin Quinn's joke about heart palpitations from bad coke not counting as cardio is one I've repeated SEVERAL times.

Howard turned them all into Yes Men so it wouldn't happen. The ones who refused got fired.

Howard's doing a great job of roasting himself on AGT.

Yeah, how STUPID was that Andy Dick Roast?? I remember all of us on here having a big WTF reaction to not only the fact that they chose HIM to roast, but the pretty shitty result... :dontnow:

Howard is open minded as can be, but he still has security issues with himself. Especially with him being married to Beth and Sal saying all that shit about her, it's not going to happen.
I have a feeling Beth is pulling Howard's strings like a puppet.

Artie's was the best. I find myself listening to that show from time to time. The show is great from beginning to end. The Wrap Up Show that night was mayhem.

I didn't know when each roast happened so thanks for the chronology!
I watch the roasts on vid and listen to them occasionally on mobile phone. Always lots of fun even on repeated viewings/listens.
Ralph and Ronnie were being total assholes on their respected roasts, but that's to be expected I guess...
The best sets were Colin Quinn on the Artie roast and Sal on the Gary roast. Brutal.

I just hate that Howard TV censored Artie's set during the Gary roast.

Howard went off the rails just because Judd Apatow didn't want to hear about AGT so much. He could never handle an actual roast anymore. He's become too pampered.
