Do yourself a favor. Go live near the frat row of a major university. Rape, violence, drug use etc.. all on a weekly basis. But almost NONE of them kids ever get in trouble for it. Even if they somehow manage to get arrested the charges are "taken care of".

Now across town in the black neighborhood, those kids are getting jail time for the same shit. True dat!!

THere are very few asians in the country. Plus they tend not to involve the authorities in anything. THey do have quite an extensive heritage in organized crime!

Can we just leave it as most conservatives are nutless, insecure pussies who probably love using the N-word when doors are closed and they're sure no black people are within earshot? Other races and cultures frighten them because they can't get past their hatred and prejudice.

    Me what?

Assimiliate how? What is your version of assimliate? When you say borders, language, culture, what do you mean by culture? I get you want borders, I get you want Engilsh as the national language but what does culture mean exactly, to you?

And btw, I don't get the patting yourself on the back list. You don't get a cookie or a badge for doing the things you think are right. I pay taxes, have a job, support a family, I recieve Social Security benefits for my son from my husband's death(on the dole?) , don't go to church (not the culture you want, right?), give to charities (not ones you would approve of I'm sure), help others in my work everyday, help whnever I can actually, my pets ar spayed, whatever the fuck that has to do with anything........but I'm sure we live very different lives. I am not anxious to give the country away. People can be different than you and achieve the same ends, I'm pretty sure you don't get that.

But as I said, what culture? Be specific. That's what stood out to me about you're post........the culture part. Please explain, I'm dying to hear it.

better watch out before Obama starts his death camps, you kow because according to dipshit conservatards we're only minutes away from that. I love this "freedoms taken away" bullshit, where the hell do these people get their info from besides kooky right wing dingbats?

When I'm at a store or somewhere in public and I happen across some of them, I hear the illegal parents communicating with their children in the mother tongue of spanish, it is one of the most disgusting experience of my day usually. They are a conquered people. It isn't even their language, but that of their conquistador masters. Pathetic. No pride. Wretched. They should head south where the sun is warm on their buttcheeks.

I don't accept your statistics about blacks just because you typed them. Did you ever stop to think that perhaps crime is more affected by economics and poverty vs. DNA? I would also argue that blacks generally receive more prison time than whites for the same crimes. I would also argue that although things have improved for them, they are still not given a fair shake when it comes to employment and education.

White people have had the distinct advantage of being able to pass on wealth from generation to generation, whereas blacks have been shut out economically because it wasn't that long ago they were sitting in the back of the bus. It may take several more generations for blacks to even approach equality.

I personally see black getting shaken down by cops far more than whites.

A place I worked at years ago used to put a small letter "B" on the upper right hand corner of job applications. That meant they never had a chance at the job. If you think this no longer happens, your naive.

How much more of a "fair shake" can you give them? Affirmative Action, countless groups set up to promote them, etc,. They are already removing reading and comprehension from FDNY tests because they are "discriminatory" (I don't know... When did expecting someone to read become discriminatory?). Maybe criminal behavior is not in the DNA, but it appears that a large majority of Blacks do not possess in the intellectual capacity to break the bonds of poverty. That's just the reality of it. What do you do? Give them jobs they are not qualified for? That's not going to work. That just degrades society.

I think we can agree on something...

I think Uncle Sam is causing problems by trying to be a second parent. By perpetuating welfare. Welfare should be a temporary safety net, not a way of life. It should be for a limited time, like as long as the mother is attending school to learn skills to get a job. Then start the countdown. many of these kids have no role models like we had. I saw my dad go to work every day. Hey, I saw my dad period!
Many of these kids see the drug dealers walking around with "bling" so they think that's the way.

Poverty is generational. I've said this on this forum more times then I could count. If you look at races that have been oppressed, native americans is another example, you see the result is generations of poverty, violence, addiction etc. There are exceptions but this is the norm. For some reason the right thinks they should all wake up tomorrow and change their lives immediately. As if they would even no where to begin. It's an awful cycle, I see it all the time in my work. Education is slow but it does work. Not all the time, but knowledge is power.

Thats funny. Italians and Irish came over here as dirt fucking poor immigrants, as did the Asians. Hmmm... The difference is those cultures FROWN on government handouts... It's an embarrassment, hence you bust your OWN ass pulling yourself out of poverter. As a matter of fact, I'm FIRST generation and my father didn't have a car until I was 12, and that was a fucking junker. He would rather eat out of the garbage than the embarrassment of taking government money.

No one enslaved the Irish or Italians when they came to this country, the Irish and Italians didn't have to sit at the back of any bus or piss outside when indoor bathrooms were available.....or steal all their land, destroy their culture and herd them onto reservations. I said oppressed. There is a huge difference between immigrated and dragged or invaded.

and we know you're first generation, you tell us constantly.

Probably more internet conjecture by Nick to strengthen his pity party .

That's how it works. Welfare reform went in back in the Clinton days. Nobody wants welfare cheats. But who's gonna put money into fraud units?

A difficult point for the clods to see. Never enters their minds that the defunding of investigative units has an effect.

First of all, thank you for a well thought out response. It sure beats the silly pictures and snide comments some people make and think they are making a point.

You are not on the dole in getting social security benefits for your son from your husband's death. That is not at all what I meant. I was referring to generational welfare that has been getting worse since LBJ's war on poverty. I do believe it is in the democrats benefit to keep people dependent on the government and to keep voting for expansion of government programs. I do not believe in that type of case that they are helping the people, but keeping them enslaved - taking away their freedom to succeed or fail on their own. The safety net has become a hammock in many cases.

OK - you wanted to know specifically Culture. This is tough to explain, but think back to your grandparents or great grandparents. Think back to the time when parents could discipline children without fear of government interference. Think of a time, when parents were more likely to teach manners. You may do these things now with your child, but many people who do not feel part of a community, do not. Think of a current culture who will immediately blame everything on racism, sexism, trying to divide instead of looking to unite.
