What's the best thing about Howard's Two Day a Week schedule?

I am starting to come around to the idea that 8 or 12 hours of Howard Stern to listen to per week is actually ok, if he's still engaged and funny, and lately I think Howard has been doing quality radio.I'd say the Ugly App show has got to be Top Ten all time. I laughed really fuckin hard at that shit, especially Ronnie's stuff. And Ronnie's reactions after the fact are priceless. Him talkin about Sal, "havin a blast" in the hallways with the Zero score, I've laughed my balls off at that stuff.

When I read the title of this thread the first thing that popped into my mind was Chris Tucker in Friday say "Not a damn thing!!!!"

Not sure what you are getting at but the only reason I continued to subscribe was Howard re upping his contract. My main problem with the show now is that it is hardly ever on. So now that the show is on 2-3 times a week,I no longer felt I should subscribe. That is the up side for me. A vacation and then a 2 day work week was the coup de grace.Enough is enough.

I don't recognize your username so I wasn't including you as one of the hysterical fit-pitchers. I think your characterization of the show as being "hardly ever on" is grossly inaccurate though. That sounds like you're getting one live show a month or something. That aside, you sound like a rarity on this board: a rational person who weighed the pros and cons of a subscription and made a reasoned decision without hysterics and attention-whoring here about it.

The main point of my post was how many people carry on as if they send a check to Howard Stern each month or year and in return for that payment they are given access to THHS, when the true fact is that they are paying Sirius for a subscription to a whole array of channels. That they are only interested in one channel out of the package doesn't change that fact. It's like if Jimmy Kimmel started reducing his schedule and I started ranting about how that fucking Jew takes my money every month and dares to gives me less. He's only on one channel, just like Howard. I rarely listen to any other channel on Sirius other than 100 and occasionally 101 but I don't pretend that all the other channels I pay for don't exist.

I wouldn't care if Kimmel was on less because I don't pay for him. That's a comparison that Howard often makes that never really flies.

Howard can't rant about Sirius owing him more money because he brought so many people over to Sirius who solely wanted to hear him and then say that we should all really be here for all the other channels. It's nonsensical.

And comparing to HBO also doesn't make sense because they really do have tons of programming that people pay for. When one show is on hiatus, like Boardwalk Empire, another great show steps up, like Eastbound and Down or Game of Thrones.

The fact is, we all came to Sirius for Howard ONLY, and it is a bit of a slap for him to pull out (both creatively and physically).

I miss Artie all around. People used to slam him, but I think it is more than clear now that he was so fuckin great. I'd love to say that the Stern Show should clearly fill the Artie chair with someone who could give us all a third perspective of everything Howard and Robin talk about, but I don't want to commit heresy against those who's sole job it is to defend the current form of the show no matter what.

if the best part of Howard's "limited schedule" is hearing how great the show used to be, what does that tell you?
