I'll download it. I expect it to be slightly less realistic than Star Wars.

I saw it yesterday, Palin came off as a cunty air-head, I'd say it was spot on.

I love Julianne Moore. I have to find another way to watch it. I just switched over from HBO to Showtime a few weeks ago. :banghead:

I thought it was good how they portrayed the start of the anti-intellectualism when the McCain/Palin campaign needed to get "negative" and started with Palin's assumption Obama pals around with terrorists and every speech after that was all these idiot rednecks yelling "kill him" and "he's a muslim" after Obama's name was mentioned, that part is true. You can see it in the teabagger rallies.

I was around during the election and I have no desire to see it through the eyes of liberal hollywood. I'll wait to see the movie where they show Obama lie about all his campaign promises., which will never be made.

So here are my takeways good and bad. John McCain does come off good in the movie. He mentioned on more then one occasion he didn't want to personally attack Obama, recounting the rumors spread by Karl Rove in South Carolina (2000 GOP primary) that McCain had an illegitimate "black baby", when the baby was an adopted Cambodian. He looked pained when at rallies people were shouting Obama was a terrorist. Hhs support for Palin was unwavering even when things were going badly.

Palin comes off good as a charsasmatic politician. People who were into her were really enthusiastic. Her advoccy for special needs children was touching. She also comes off as a tough woman who picked herself up and maintained when things were at their lowest.

Most of the bad stuff I knew or suspected already. I will not call her dumb but she was very ignorant of national and world affairs. So much so it would have been dangerous to have that in a VP. No sitting governor in the US in 2008 should have stated Saddam Hussein attacked us on 9/11. This would have been a disqualifier for being a mayor in any town. I give Steve Schmidt 60% of the blame for Palin. I'm not in politics but I could have done the vetting and discovered she's not qualified. The other 40% goes to Palin for her lack of self awareness. I would hazard a guess 99% of SFN Politics know if they are qualified to be POTUS (assuming VPs should be). If you are asked to be VP and know you're not cut out for the job just respectfully decline. I'm not sure she knew she was incapable of doing the job.

McCain brought her up from obscurity, libs made her a star.

no, her being a complete dumbass that didn't know why North and South Korea were different made her a shining example of why we need more education in this country.

the tagline for the movie should have been "Game Change: What the hell have we done?"

actually it was suppose to be about the game of politics today and you have to get dirty to get anywhere, Palin's rise came from trashing Obama, everyone who isn't a complete retard knows that.

Why this woman deserves a movie made about her boggles the mind... I would rather see a John Kerry movie. Shoot 'em up Vietnam scenes, a "How's it Made" type segment on the ketchup factory.... We could have had the original "Bigfoot" play him if he wasn't dead... Now, that would have been a movie.....

"In a fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan...".... could have flashbacked to a Mongol horde scene.....

To liberals more education means throwing more tax payers dollars at the problem.

I would think libs would settle with a VP knowing the the queen is not the real head of England.

I guess basic math isn't important.

If we do everything right, if we do it with absolute certainty, there's still a 30% chance we're going to get it wrong." --Joe Biden,

    and kindergarten level counting

"Look, John's last-minute economic plan does nothing to tackle the number-one job facing the middle class, and it happens to be, as Barack says, a three-letter word: jobs. J-O-B-S, jobs." --Joe Biden,

Or someone that doesn't know basic American history.

When the stock market crashed, Franklin D. Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the, you know, the princes of greed. He said, 'Look, here's what happened." –Joe Biden

As much as it is about her it is not a movie about Sarah Palin. It is a movie about the 60 days prior to the election in 2008 focused on the McCain/Palin ticket and how and why it all fell apart.

One of my favorite parts is when Steve Schmidt gets on the bus with Palin and starts to ask practice questions...he asks her about the US relationship with the UK and she responds with, "I think that the President should maintain a good relationship with the Queen...". I had to pause the movie I was laughing so hard...

From one of the reviews (for those that think it's nothing more than a hack job at Palin)

"But hold on a moment. Am I simply repeating a slanted partisan view? Decide for yourself if you see the film. Adapted from a best-selling book with the same title by John Heilemann and Mark Halperin, it draws on hundreds of interviews with McCain camp insiders, and although Palin’s supporters are protesting its negative portrait, the facts and dialogue seem to be accurate. When Newsweek’s David Frum asked Schmidt what he thought about the film, he said it was “an out-of-body experience.” Neither he nor Wallace (who confessed that after working with Palin she was unable to vote for McCain) has questioned its accuracy."
