Why Bubba?

This is not a Bubba forum. It's for any show you want to discuss.

Bubba's doing over 6 hours of radio a day and it's been pure joy to listen to him. I just don't know why on earth he'd enertain ciming back to Sirus/XM, unless they are foolishly pay to have him replay his IO show.

I agree with jimmy, why would Bubba come back to a place that screwed him over every year? did it come out how many days the show will be on and what time will he be on? i missed the show today, so I dont know any of the details about him coming back

Bubba just dropped a line that Bean was talking with them. There are really no details to report. Me thinks that Sabean realizes how "great" the Abe Kanan show is. Just trying to keep it positive.

I posted this in another thread. But I now think Bubba's IO show is the one being talked about between Sirius and Tom Bean. I think that Bubba will return to his old time slot at 3PM and the IO show will be replayed from 3-5PM and then Abe Kanan from 5-7PM on 101. Please Bubba don't go back, we don't need them.

If you call a 7 figure paycheck, screwing him then I'd love to be screwed like that. His problem was that he was greedy, at the end he didn't even have to do anything but let his show get replayed and still get a huge paycheck. Look at his new forum. He's still gouging his fans every way he can. can you believe he charges to join his forum. You can't even look at the posts without opening your wallet. Serious and Howard brought him back from the dead and helped him build his Gym, new house, and who know how many extravagant toys. What they got for return is yearly attacks and complete ungrateful attitude demanding more money.

A Jay Thomas section sounds great. I just hope people are wrong about putting Mancow's ex show member "Abe Kanan" back to back with a Radio IO replay of Bubba with his 180$ fake leather biker vests, mugs, and mud flaps. I've got a better suggestion, send Mancow Jr. "Abe Kanan" to radio IO and give us complete old howard shows played in chronological order from Day 1. On Krock or WNBC, it makes no difference. either way we'd have a good 4 hour show for years to come and not the rehashed constantly replayed Howard shuffle we've been getting on 101.

i like jay, and abe (even if he was mancow sidekick) but i like bubba's show more. as for how bubba's spends his money has nothing to do with the fact that he was under paid for his work. its sad that someone like maddog (poor mans farrell) gets 12 million a year and bubba (who is a billion times better) only gets 600k. yes 600k is alot of money, but he deserve more.

what is this forum you speak of? and btw his last deal was not seven figures. and he had to pay his entire staff out of that high six figure salary. I'll agree that Howard brought him back from the dead. but after his first contract he didn't deserve a cut in pay, in fact he probably deserved a raise. and Abe Kanan is just a weak assed attempt to fill air time by Tim Sabean.

From what I remember he let slip his pay was only 1 mill and after hearing oprah and other getting the multi-million dollar deals he got greedy even thoe without being connected to Howard he wasn't to big of a draw outside of Florida. I remember him complaining that he was told something to that effect by some of the higher ups, they told him " We could put anyone next to Howard and get a large following". I agree with you Abe Kanan is horrible but unfortunately his exposure to Howard is giving him a following. From what I understand Bubbas not doing all that well now separated from Howard. The talks probably involve him begging for his old deal back for a Howard reconnect. Especially since Howard signed the dancing with the stars deal. It would mean major exposure for Bubba on Howard's coat tails.

I have a feeling anything I would say defending Bubba would involve some sort of comeback to the contrary. The bottom line is that with every Sirius deal he got, they offered less and less. So they decided to take their ball and go home. Can't blame him, why be somewhere where you are not valued.

Would he be on sterns channel or that starz channel?

from listening to Bubba's show today and he read an email I sent (kind of cool to hear your name on the show) he said IF a deal were to get done he'd only want to be on H101 and it would be a replay of the AM terrestrial show. the IO show would remain exclusive. he seemed to be excited and called it a win-win for everyone.

btls.net is a fan forum, just like this place. It was around before he ever came to Sirius. Bubba has no control over it.

Bubba kicks ass. Great radio and always makes me laugh. Just a redneck working man personality. Easy to relate to. I hope he comes back to Sirius/XM and does a Friday exclusive show like a couple years back. Shit, I wish he was back on H101 in the afternoon but thats not going to happen. I listen daily to him on Radioio so its not a big deal to me but I always liked the chemistry between Howie and Bubbs..

There both good shows but im a bigger fan of Bubba

sirius needs bubba back, since he left and sirius wanted 2 charge me for online account even though ive been a lifetime subscriber since dec 05 ive quit listening to everything but howard. all the other shows they have tried in the afternoons suck compared to bubba. Its kind of like being able to bang a "10" chick every day for 3 years and then having her taken away and replaced by a 2. this abe kana show completely sucks. wish tim would wise up and pay the man
