Why do Americans love fast food so much? John Hein's fast food show

Im watching John Hein's fast food show and no offence but a lot of this food looks disgusting

Ive never eaten at a white castle but John Hein is holding up this enormous box of 100 white castle burgers and it looks fucking gross

This show is clearly another round of paid tv advertising by restaurants that sell horrifically bad food

There's a reason they call White Castle burgers "Murder Burgers".

The only fast food joints I patronize are Five Guys Burgers & Fries and Taco Bell, and only occasionally. When you only have an hour long lunch break I don't want to spend the majority waiting for my meal to cook when I forget a bagged lunch.

It's cheap, and convenient, and depending on the company and, sometimes, the individual restaurant location, it sometimes tastes good.

I go to Chick Fila sometimes. They just happen to make a good chicken sandwich. I never tried White Castle.

I can see why the disgust at looking at 100 White Castle burgers. But if I had tried it, and liked it, then maybe that would look good. I don't know.

I'm not saying fast food is all healthy or whatever. It mostly isn't, probably. But I don't think it's good to kind of be a food snob and put down all fast food just because it is fast food. I think it's probably not that unhealthy if rarely used.

I think the soda part, even maybe the diet soda, but definitely the sugary soda, is possibly the worst part of it all. Cut out the soda and it gets a lot less unhealthy I think.

Every country likes fast-food. Why single out Americans? Have you been to another country?

McDonalds, Coke, Pepsi, chipolte etc....have been great performing companies and their stocks are great to own. I would love Americans and people worldwide to stuff their face all day and night.

thats really not true i remember living in europe and there's not convenience stores everywhere - it's probably why the people are so much skinnier

im not putting it all down i singled out white castle as looking like gross food

even that whole chick fil a thing to me is weird - why would you want to eat something thats designed to be blasted out as quickly as possible

bottom line you can cook much better and higher quality food at home

In some of the major cities you can find McDonalds and other fast food restaurants, but if you are not in those cities, you eat better food at pubs (I'm thinking Ireland, here). The refrigerator in the average European home is about half the size as one in the US.

Just the promos for this show are obnoxious and Hein should be ashamed of himself for even thinking about doing this show.

Hopefully his arteries will become hardened from this shit he's eating to the point where his heart will explode during the woefully unfunny Wrap Up Show

yea the grocery in europe is way better - much more fresh foods and a huge variety of stuff because the shipping is all so much closer in

all the bigger cities have a us chain store it seems but usually there right downtown centreville or near the trains etc

i remember losing a lot of weight just because i had to ride a bike about 5km to just buy soda after 9pm

Its 100% sh*t. But SOME of it doesnt taste that bad and its relativity cheap and fast.

The best is that meat webbing sh*t on the actual hamburger patty.

yes but people are lazy. they don't want to take the time to shop, prep, and clean up.

also, people are cheap. with the dollar menus etc, it's too cheap to resist.

lastly, kids loooove fast food and the tv shows they watch target them hard with ads. then they go ask their parents for happy meals, etc, and they build up brand loyalty and love from an early age.

They were always useful at the end of a night of drinking to absorb all the poison and minimize (or eliminate, hopefully) the hangover.

I always put my mechanically separated meat product in a cardboard box rather than some food quality stainless steel container.
