Why is Beth so horrible to you?

Come on haters, please explain it to me. I don't understand what she did to you that she gets trashed so much.

All I've heard is

1. People angry she wrote a book about dogs and she's not a dog expert
2. She likes going to red carpets
3. She took a video with her brothers and did a cartwheel
4. She's a model and likes to pose for pictures
5. She takes pictures of her pets

After his divorce Howard turned over a new leaf and went into therapy and decided to try and be a better person and this coincided with getting into a relationship with Beth so now she's accused of cutting off his balls, so you conveniently focus your disappointment on her because a more complex explanation is too difficult to process in your little brain. Really? Is that it? Give me a break.

Did you mean to post this @ Dawgs but had both sites open on your screen?

Aren't you just inviting more of what you are criticizing to continue yet again?

Howard changed when he married Beth. Worse yet, the show changed - for the worse.

I can't post at Dawg's I don't have an account there. Unlike the people who come up with threads like these just to start a bash fest, I was actually trying to find some sort of reason that made sense. I am trying to invite honest answers, I'd like for those who hate her to actually think it thru and give me a reasonable explanation because I just don't understand it.

My thought is that if SFN members were as positive about The Show today as they were in early 2006, the Beth-bashing would be much less.

Theres something so fake about her, I want to like but just can't.

We're all big fans of Howard and don't like her making a cuckhold of him.

she's not horrible, don't hate her but I can see how her long, long list of failed attempts at celebrity and leveraging of Howard can be viewed in a harsh light

If you have been coming on SFN for the past 5-7 years then you'd know that a lot of people have venomous hate for Beth.Some of these fools go so far that they track and follow what her parents do.

Hypocrisy -

Claims to be an animal advocate that doesn't eat beef but buys and promotes leather clothing, shoes and purses.

Supports and promotes a charity with a very low rating from Charity Navigator and the BBB.

Destroyed animals and their habitat to build a 16,000 square foot mansion for two people.

Howard always goes on and on about her family while in reality her father was convicted of felony medicare fraud and stripped of his license to practice dentistry.

Who do you dislike more, Beth or Artie's Liver?

I normally lurk over here from time to time checking out the action, but felt compelled to reply to this.

Excluding newer fans, the Howard Stern Show we, as fans knew, no longer exists. The days of edgy radio with relevant celebrity guests is long gone. The " shock jock " no longer shocks. He muddles by on 3 day work weeks, down from 7 days a week working to produce superior content for his fans in his heyday. He has grown, as have we all. As we get older what matters to us changes.

The problem for me at least, is that Howard changed into exactly what we as fans railed against for years. Before marriage, Howard was not a snob and hobnobbing in the Hamptons with Diddy and Billy Joel. He would barely drive across the island to Jackie's and now he flies to the west coast for a Kimmel party. Howard always made sure ( even if it was a lie ) to make us feel like he was one of us. The days of eating KFC in the hotel in Detroit, to the WNBC years where he fought with his bosses to bring great radio to the masses and even WXRK when Howard wanted to run for elected seat. All those things made us ( at least me ) as a listener feel like he was right there in the trenches, fighting the good fight along side me.

And when did that all come to an end? The Fall of '08. When he got married. Gone were the talks about how so and so was a snob since he or his wife may run into them at a party, MORE talks about people who were friends with or could get work for his wife ( the interview with some woman from dallas who wrote a book, and let it slip her and Beth were friends, as well as all the Nice-Nice talk for Tyra and Ashton how were producing her show ). Now we're left with the same old bits of Tradio, the horrid handling of the Artie debacle, and worst of all if you ask me, the Back to Back To Back To Back same callers ( Bobo/Marianne/ETM/Tom From Malden, Mass ) etc .... Joan Rivers, Jason Ellis and the list goes on of people NOT in the spotlight currently who we have to hear from. Someone here used to post a list of people Gary DIDN'T BOOK each week.

Howard has changed, and is in a different place than 6 years ago. I'm glad he found happiness with his wife, but to piss on all of us and try to pass off what he's playing on the radio as The Howard Stern show is insulting. He should have retired last year, but frankly he did it in the hopes of getting what he thought was his deserved " bonus " for XM subs, not for his staff.

I close with saying that if you do enjoy the show now, I'm happy for you. Enjoy it and have fun talking about it and discussing it.

Just realize that with many of us the Howard we knew is gone; in anger or spite or sadness we lash out because we were hurt by an old friend leaving us.
